I am 66 years old, born and raised in Ashland, WIsconsin, moved here 22 years ago. My dad was an auto mechanic at the Ford Garage in Ashland when I was young. I built my first motorized go cart at age 12. Been into cars, bike and trucks ever since. Mostly Fords, but also some Mopars,and Chevs. Raced Stockcars for 9 years, drag raced for 2 years. Built some streetrods. In the process of building two Streetrod trucks now. My last year of stockcars, 1981, I built an 81 T-Bird with 400-C engine. I used 2bbl Cleveland "quench" heads, with slightly cut down 4 bbl valves, and built a one-off single 4-bbl "tunnel ram" intake out of steel for it. Super torquer engine for my Late Model T-Bird. Been saving it all, and will put in my 53 F100. I will detune as it had 12.0:1 with the quench heads and flat top pistons. Heads and block both milled.
