Chris Carroll: Ford V8 Club SD honorary lifetime membership, San Diego Automotive Museum wheels 100
Antique Automotive was started in 1963 by Carl Burnett and continued by Chris Carroll in 1975. Over the years it became a destined location for the antique and classic car hobby. There was a parts department with thousands of original old car Parts on display. There was a showroom with 50 antique and classic cars that was like a museum with signs and memorabilia and even a classic clothing shop that the ladies loved. There was also a back lot that was a like a bone yard for old cars. Antique Automotive became a mecca for the old car hobby. Chris Carroll started working for Antique Automotive of San Diego in 1972. He soon learned the business and became the manager in 1975 and made the parts department very well organized and displayed and started mail order. Also Chris made Antique Automotive a great place to go to put your car on consignment with many fantastic cars being sold there. In 1983 he bought Antique Automotive which started in 1963. Chris Carroll paid over a quarter of a million dollars for the business and had it paid off by 1993. The original owner Carl Burnett then forced Chris Carroll out of the original business location with his attorney and Carl getting the business location back with the hopes of starting it again. Chris Carroll then moved Antique Automotive and ended up with the business at 1515 Fourth Ave. San Diego for 10 more years. This was a 1940's showroom in a prime location in downtown San Diego and Chris Carroll had many fantastic classic cars, hot rods and street rods sold there for 10 years. The building was highly sought after for redevelopment and was sold with Chris Carroll semi retiring in 2003. With the internet broadening the old car hobby, Chris Carroll still brokers many classic car sales and also does very extensive appraisals and car buying and locating. You can call Chris at 858-866-4661

Over the years Chris Carroll had several people who helped him and made Antique Automotive an all time special place and source for great cars, parts and memorabilia; Roger Sanipoli, Bob Burns, Brian Clark, Lynette White, Juan Zepeda, Mark Battaglia, Charlie Kitchell, Bob Sandkaut, Miguel ( Magoozi ), Mark Williamson, Gene Mayfield, Jim Merklin, Herman Pankau, Art Shaper, Jerry Jackson, Webb Smith, Rose Anderson, Tom Cataldo, Bob McCoy, Juan Aquirre, Karl Misler, Steve Palmer, Norm Phillips, Alan Holmes, Steve Sakane, Jon Guilmet, John Woods, Bill Macauley, Danny Brent, Phil Gildred, Gil Klecan, Marcy Magovski, Don Anders, Gil Buxton, Bill Neff, Nick Fintzelberg, Dave Peterson, Dan Biesel, Ray Beardslee, Tom Rinzuli, Fred Meyers, Jack Simmons, George Coffin, Pete Walstrom, Josea Wiltcher, Billy Nesbitt, Gerald Desoto, Rex Eagleson, Brad Dudley, Tom Cahill, Ray Hamel, Sandy Boom, Howard Hill, Gene Littler, Paul Newitt, Roy Hanika and many more friends to be added.
