The Tom Peterson Roadster

The Tom Peterson Roadster

Here’s one for you guys… Tom Peterson found this roadster in a shed in 1950. He stepped the frame, dropped the axle, added Kinmount disc brakes, and installed a ’52 Olds motor. He then channeled the body and had Ray’s Body Shop (San Mateo, CA) shape the pontoon fenders. The little roadster was finally completed in 1959.

The attached image on this post is from Any Southard’s incredible book – Hot Rods of the 1950s. Andy also did a feature on the car for Rod & Custom Magazine in 1965. Past that and the above, I know absolutely nothing about the car. I’m wondering… Is there anything else out there? What do you guys know?
