Liberation

Liberation

Don Moyer is a good pal and a great thinker. He’s one of those guys that seems to own just about everything and just about everything he owns seems to have time tested personality. That’s why I was a little surprised to read about his street rod Olds. Done with a 90’s era sense of sanitation and censor, the big Olds just lacked the personality of a typical Moyer offering.

Admittedly, I was a bit confused… So I kept reading. As it turns out, the Olds was a family buy with practicality and durability in mind. The car has served its purpose wonderfully for years, but Don was ready to liberate the original Olds’ personality and has began the creative process in preparation for the Detroit Autorama. The thread covering the project is just an absolute joy to read and I can’t wait to see the finished product. Check it out.

Don’s journey got me thinking about all of the 80’s and 90’s era street rods that are just waiting to be liberated and their original personalities re-released. I’m sure more than a few of you out there are responsible for saves similar to Don’s and thought it would be interesting to see before and after shots. So, what are you waiting for? Here’s your chance to show the world that you’re a saint…
