Why’d You Pick That Color?

I’m gonna come right out and admit it to you, I’m just not a shiny red roadster man… Actually, despite digging deep crimson Ford colors like ‘Garnet Maroon’, I generally don’t favor bright reds, yellows, or orange painted cars too often. My favorite Ferrari spotting of all time was a plain white 308 GTB with the license plate “NOT RED”. But why do I really love my hot rods and customs in many shades of black, blue and green? Any why does a beautifully-built, period correct car totally turn me off when it painted in a particular color that I just don’t like? We know it’s not simply a practical decision as much as a form of taste and visual expression for what we’ve just built. The paint color we choose is a powerful statement about the car, or about us, or both… What does the color you chose for your last car say about you?
