Hood Louvers of Interest (Sexy Hoods part II)

Someday I really want to get a custom aluminum hood made for my ’29 roadster. There is something beautiful and elegant about a pair of toolbox latches perched on the sides of a custom louvered, three piece hood. Speaking of which, the louver pattern can be a real signature element to a hot rod’s hood, displayed in many different ways. I’m always surprised how little variation I see when it comes to hood louvers on a traditional hot rod, which prompted me to post about my all time favorite standout patterns last year. Since then, I’ve found a few more styles (both custom and stock) worth sharing and hopefully inspiring a few hoods yet to be punched. Besides slot patterns, there also variants in length, shape and profile. Lots of ways to go if your willing to mix it up… What’s on your hood?
