The Randy Cannarozzi ’29

The Randy Cannarozzi ’29

On Monday, we brought you Randy’s amazing ’35 roadster and told you that it was just a matter of time before Randy and Keith Tardel collaborated again. Well, that was all bullshit. See, Keith has actually been building Randy’s ’29 roadster for a couple of weeks now. Even better, the build is literally going down right next door to me. In fact, the only thing separating my computer from the dust of Tardel’s work is a simple roll up door.

Cool, right? Right. And what makes it so damned cool is that I’m going to be able to do a build thread of sorts as the car progresses. I think this is what people call “exclusive access.”

Anyway, here’s the plan:

  • 1929 Ford Roadster. Brookville body.
  • 1937 Ford Dash.
  • 1932 Ford American Stamping Rails.
  • Original 1932 Ford K-Member.
  • Original Model-A Ford front and rear crossmembers.
  • 4″ dropped So-Cal Speedshop axle.
  • Split 1942-47 Ford wishbone.
  • Hot Rod Works Quickchange with 9″ Ford axles.
  • Late 40’s/early 50’s MG shocks on the rear, tube shocks up front.
  • 1934 Ford pedal assembly.
  • F1 steering box on bottom, random but gorgeous GM steering wheel up top.
  • Original Lincoln drums all the way around.
  • 1939 Ford top loader tranny.
  • 306″ (3-3/8″ by 4-1/4″) Flathead Ford.

I guess that’s really the 50-foot view of where Keith is headed. And if you read that list, you already know that the real personality of this car is going to come from the monster flathead Ford. This particular motor was actually the backup motor for Randy’s Bonneville effort. It’s serious. All business… and as a result, so is this roadster.

Watch your asses overheads!

Anyway, enjoy the pictures below and subscribe to this thread. You’ll be glad ya did as I plan on updating it with progress just about every day.
