The Jalopy Journal Release Run

As a lot of you already know, we will be having a release party for The Jalopy Journal Issue #2 on June 23rd here in Austin, TX. The actual party will go down at the Continental Club on South Congress. We will be gathering there at around 7 pm to shoot the shit, have a drink or two, and listen to some great live music. Before that, however, we are gonna do a little realibility run through the hill country.

It’s gonna be a laid back affair… You know the drill – a bunch of pals, a bunch of hot rods, and a good ole leg stretching… We will be meeting at 8:30 am (June 23) in the HEB parking lot located in Dripping Springs. From there, we are gonna take a 70 mile route  down some great old country roads and through some great old Texas towns. A couple of those towns are so damned great, we are gonna stop for a bit just to check them out. And once done, we are gonna gather at the World Famous Salt Lick BBQ for some lunch.

I just got done doing a little recon of the trip and I can vouch for it’s legitimacy. Gorgeous roads… and I think you will all get a kick out of both Blanco and Wimberley, Texas – especially those of you that I know are coming out from California.
