In the 1950s and early 60s, nothing went hand in hand quite like the DNA of Hot Rods and Rock and Roll.  Both came from modest roots and found their boom after WWII. Both are purely American in their birth and raw form, speaking to freedom, personal expression, bucking the system, and being something your mother didn’t like. It only made sense that Hot Rods and Customs found their way onto the cover of record albums and 45 sleeves, via artistic renderings or color photos.
