It’s almost that time again…

That’s right. We’re only a little over a month away from the yearly SCTA pilgrimage to the great salt lake of Bonneville in Wendover, Utah for Speed Week.

Every August, new believers come back from ‘The Salt’ after their first time, no longer saline virgins, forever changed and inspired. Many leave pledging to build a race car next year, perhaps try to set a new record in some obscure class. Some return just for the road trip there, or the unearthly scene of a pure white horizon surrounded by that iconic mountain range. Whatever your inspiration may be, you’ll always find a reason or way to get back on the salt again.

If you’ve never been to Bonneville, and you really want to go, stop putting it off… Just go. It beats any car show, any hot rod shop, and other live racing event, because being there is transforming, and words or pictures don’t do it real justice. You’ve got to feel it for yourself.
