Hells no... It's getting the original surround back. After 20 something years, I finally found one.

Keith is taking on Tweety as a kind of side project. The plans are to restore it back to the version it was when featured in Rodding and Restyling.

  9. I've always loved that f#cking car. A San Antonio boy saw that car, with my own 14 year old eyes. I want to say it was at a San Antonio Speed and Sport show ??? I do remember the magazine on display. Loved it.

No HAMB then, but a few fried boloney/bologna/Mexican hat sandwiches, eventually brought me here. YeeHa !!

Love the Tweetie Pie, but I'm gonna need an update on that shiny black coupe in the background while you are at it.

Do I spy a supercharger under the hood of the 38?

  16. The blower was put on when it last had surgery, I think. I'll guess Ryan will have an upcoming thread about the 38, cause it's overdue :D:D:D

I can't wait to see how Tweetie Pie comes out.

Is that the car Perry Lassiter (SP?) of Waco had for a number of years in the 70's? I believe his was a Cabriolet with the bases for the bucket seats sunk in the floor boards. His car was that same pale yellow then.

i met Jim yesterday, and i really gotta say, that man has fire in his belly! at 84 years young, he was out there sandblasting and cleaning parts with super attention to detail, and as we talked about his car, boy his face just lit up! I honestly felt guilty for leaving when i did, he wanted me to stay and talk more.
He is truly an inspiration, and what an amazing story this whole thing is.

What happened to this car? For some reason this thread popped up at the top of the thread list?? IDK??
Maybe I accidentally opened some portal to the past, pre-corona past, there something spooky going on here, will have to look for a post from 1956 to pop-up....
