I posted this question on my 41 plymouth build thread, but no response so I figured i'd start a new thread. I got these 41 Lincoln grilles at a swap meet for pretty cheap a few weekends ago. Was looking at them there and thought they might be recast by someone. But the price was good, so i bought them anyway. They are real solid, but the mounting tabs on the back look odd (I don't have a 41 Lincoln, so I have no idea to tell if they are supposed to be like that or not) and they don't have any numbers on them, but are stamped with "F&W" on the back. I don't really care if they are original or not, being as i plan to put them on my 41 plymouth. But I'm curious still. Also if anyone knows how these might mount on the back, Id appreciate any tips. Thanks guys 20160413_185001.jpg 20160413_185013.jpg 20160413_185018.jpg 20160413_185028.jpg

The originals are die cast zinc alloy, not sand cast aluminum like those.

Thank you.. Thats what i suspected. Anyone have any idea on mounting them? Im assuming those "Tabs" on the back aren't like the original lincoln tabs

I've got a pair of those also. Inasmuch as they were a lower cost replacement for the original Zephyr grilles, they mount just like the parts they replace. The Zephyr has a cavity also fitted with tabs on the inner, upper and lower sides and the outside tabs bolt to the fender mounting area. The grilles actually overlap the fender/front chassis sheetmetal extension seam.
