Hey just Picked up some Zephyr gears cluster is 25-22-18-14 The main drive is 19 tooth. Does anyone know what tooth count intermediate gear, Low and reverse, And reverse Idler these gears fit ? Thanks
The second gear is also a unique LZ item.....it should have 24 teeth. The other gears you mentioned will be the same as the Ford transmission gears from 1939-50. For example, the low/reverse gear has 29 teeth and 16 splines (all helical). The reverse idler gear will have 18 teeth (all helical). The complete gear set would have either version (01A-7124 or 8M-7124) of the late style synchronizer. The main shaft must also be of the late style (81A-7061 or 51A-7061) or the 1942-50 version main shaft (21C-7061 or 59C-7061) if you’re going to go with an open driveshaft configuration.
