yeah, Larry Watson is the man. (pt 4)

I went to see him today, Here are some pics of his little museum in case you havnt see it yet.

Yeah he was fuckin cool. I asked him if he was ever going to build another car and he was pretty much like:

"No oh no, WELL I do want to build a new roadster, just to show all these kids nowadays driving all their little plastic gay cars."

He is definitely still rockin the shades and pompadour.

Nice little pinstriping sample for me, guess not bad for someone in his 70s. A man who worked along side Ed Roth and Von Dutch. preeeety bitchin.

I had a hard covered book I bought in the 70s with all his stuff..........wish I had it now........maybe another one will show someday......scallops rule!

Cool post! Watson was my number one Kustom Hero growing up in So. Cal. he's about 10 years older then me.

 

Many thanks for posting the pictures.It is good to see one of my heroes and a great automotive artist still going strong.Hope to meet him someday.

 

Its always so funny how US young dudes pose in these pix, with our chests puffed out with pride, while our face shows that we're actually struggling to breath and not pee in our tough guy pants.....

But I just came across this info, a soon to be released book with the photos of James Potter... and a lot of the cars where painted by Watson.
I cant wait for this one hit the book shops.
