just an observation, but it seems like your avatar and the frowney face in the title are at odds with your nick:D

now for some help...i always just upload my pics to www.imagestation.com and then use the image button in the post border with the URL of the pic from there. it automatically resizes them and is totally free. really makes thigns easy!

Go to Photobucket, get an account and forget about the rest. It really doesn't get any easier than copy/paste. You don't necessarily have to resize this way (depends). Before I post a pic in a thread, I use the "preview" function to make sure the pic is the appropriate size. Seriously, get a photobucket account.

  8. Here's what ya do.
    1. Create an account with photobucket. (it's free and easy)
    2. Load pictures in said photobucket account.
    3. When you look at the pics in photobucket there will be 3 boxes under the pic.
    4. You will see a box with IMG in it at both ends.
    5. Select that address, right click on it, copy it to the clipboard.
    6. Come back here to your post. (I like to do the photobucket thing in a seperate window.)
    7. Find where you want to put the pic, right click again and paste the address into the post.
    8. Viola, you have a picture.
Try that and see what you get.

And do what Mootz said about previewing the post.

don't remember which, but one of those two suck completely as they have a time limit and all you get a week or mo or Yr later is something like a "pic no longer avail. or moved" page on the post. you see it all the time here ,frustrating as hell mo's later looking for a pic :(, even easier is to send to a HAMB'r to resize for ya ,I'll do it

You see that box because the user moved or deleted the pic, not because photobucket did. I have been using photobucket for years now and have not lost a single pic.

  12. I haven't been able to post any pics for a few weeks now. Something changed. I used to click on the post reply box and then go to the manage attachments box to add my pics. The manage attachments box is no longer there. WTF, over! I have a attach files box but when I try to click on it nothing happens and I don't seem to have any other options. Anyone have any suggestions?

We haven't made ANY changes to the hamb in over 2 months, so I am thinking we are having caching issues or something. Can someone please send me a screen shot of their screen if it is missing the "manage attachments" button?

Also, Kiwi... I noticed you are an AOL user. We don't support their browser at all... Have you tried using internet explorer of firefox as a browser once logged on to AOL?

Why do I get a lot of red Xs instead of pictures in many posts? Is there a firewall or some settings in my computer blocking some of the pictures. Some posts with pictures show up just fine. Others and even some E-mail pictures are blocked and the red Xs are all that I get. Can someone help me correct this problem?

  18. I'm on internet explorer now and everything seems to be working good. It's even working at normal speed. Back on AOL it had slowed down to a snails pace. Sometime this weekend I'll post some pics of my louver press project. Thanks Ryan and others who pulled me out of the ditch and got me back on the highway!
