    Box up those spindles bro.

I guess I could drop the motor and trans/od into the BarnfindT while I work on the frame and body for my coupe....

Damn Jay, this really bites. Glad to hear you're ok though. That super secret cam must have really come to life when you hit second gear.......

Seriously though, when you figure out what parts you need let me know. Most of those parts should be pretty easy to scrounge up.

  6. Good to hear you're ok. Now that's traditional!!! -- experimenting and pushing the limits and learning from and correcting our mistakes -- that's what hot rodding is all about.

    Thanks for sharing the story!

Again, glad to hear you're ok.

My Dad and his Buddy took out a power pole with his Buddy's Dads 65 Galaxie back when they were in High School. They made up some lame excuess about hitting a deer. His Dad was mad, but knew you can't always miss them. Until about a week later when his Dad got the bill from the power company for the cost of a new pole! His Buddy then admitted that they were out tearing around on a gravel road, and he lost control of the car and hit the pole ABOUT 6 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND after flying across a drainage ditch! Then the shit REALLY hit the fan....needless to say, he had to pay for the pole!

  12. For those that say our cars are dangerous in a crash I submit this as evidence. A Prius,Escape,or modern full size pickup would have prob been totalled with the same hit!

At least you did a number on that power pole. Never go out without a fight, eh?

Get better soon, and good luck with the car.

I heard the news but the pictures - wow! Glad you're alright. Barn Find mentioned that you might be looking for a bucket - something to decorate the cab over with?!

Sorry for the news, sounds like the new will be better than before.

Image for ya but just couldn't add the body bag. Not this close to Buddy Holly's 50th anniversary - kinda creeps me out.
