Will urethane paint adhere to etching primer?

I'm painting my '51 pick up, and it looks like I'll have a little paint left over. I'm using the Hot Rod Flatz urethane paint, and want to paint a workbench that I built a little while back that's still sitting in Self Etching Primer. Would spraying it with the urethane paint be a waste or will it actually stick? Thanks!

But if it has been on there over 24 hrs I would sand the primer some before spraying color on it.
