as the title says. my friend is giving me some 57 chevy front fenders, and some other parts, and so i might go guy this 57 chevy 2 door shell that i know of missing the parts my buddy has.... BUT i have a 56? hood and im wondering if it will fit? id like to at least have a "complete" body even if its not correct. dont really care for 57 hoods anyway.

    Where in Illinois are you?

  4. None of the tri-five hoods are interchangeable. Also, if you look at a '55 or '56 from the top, the hood sides make a 'V' shape, essentially. The '57 has parallel hood sides.

also the center of the cowl is different, and the 57 uses a different windshield.

Because if you were anywhere near me I would trade you an extra 57 hood I have.

I'm at the bottom left corner of Indiana.
