Hot Rods Why don't 37 Ford coupes get any love?

The '37 is gone. Back to work on the '51.

 

The 1937 Ford Was Well Thought Of When New And Still Is By Many...

 

Winter mods almost complete with exception of hood side cover trim.
Next up is cruising season that's just around the corner we hope up north here !!

 

I darn near got my hands on a 37 coupe about 15 years ago, original black paint, wide whites and yellow wheels and I was 2 grand short and we were in Pigeon Forge, I hit up all my friends that night but by the time I got the money scraped the car was gone.

That car had a wicked look. HRP

 

I always liked them. There was a time when nobody wanted them and many got torn up on the circle tracks, likewise with the '38 coupes. What can I say? Some people think '38 and '39 Ford trucks are ugly; I've had my '38 for 54 years, I guess they grow on you. Personally, I like the looks of a '37 better than a '40, and I always liked the front end styling of the '38 Standard a lot. There was a time when nobody wanted a '42-'47 Ford "Jailbar" pickup unless it had a strong running flathead and an open driveshaft version of the '39 toploader trans they could pull out of it to put in something else

 

I just found this thread. I ve been messing with this ugly duck for a few years. Its grown on me. I recently dug it out and been driving it again.
