Only recently mounted the Lokar shifter, adding the Kilt Lifter tapper handle from Four Peaks Brewery (it's an Arizona thing).

  11. I always have to visit Four Peaks when I go back to Arizona to visit family. A little bit of family necessitates a lot of Kilt Lifter.

I remember when I was in Junior High School Wood Shop. We were all making shifter knobs (not that anyone was anywhere near close to owning a car age, out of fiberglass resin; this was probably shorty after fiberglass came out, at least it seems that long ago. We used X-Mas tree ornaments as molds, and broke them away once the fiberglass cured. You could put all kinds of sharps into the resin, hypodermic needles, barb wire, razor blades, fasteners, or just about anything really. Many of these knobs are pretty cool. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

Made these for a brewery in Austin. Hand sculpted, molded, and cast here in the shop. Shifter handles were water jet cut. Don't hold a candle to most of these on this thread.

  19. I used to work as a field engineer for flow waterjet! I miss having access to those machines. You can really make some cool stuff on them.

One of my "hooks" will be what shift knob is on it when I go somewhere. Current selection, and yes the grenade is real:
