Anyone going? Ranchero59 and I are taking my Merc. I talked with the events director and it sounds like it will be a fun time. There is going to be a swap meet, and a bunch of other stuff to do including a model car contest and they are giving away 72K in prizes to car owners.
I am. Just trying to decide weather to leave tomorrow or Friday. Sounds like it should be a good time.
It's maroon with a grey top. They'll be with a green '38 chevy sedan, a blue model A, and probably a black, flamed '40 Ford coupe.
I'll be there! Setting up tomorrow and hopefully shooting on Saturday. Suppose to be great weather all weekend.
Heading down Friday for the weekend with Boones and his Mrs's. Weather looks to be great, hope there's a good turnout... Alan
I originally planned on it with some friends, but we came to the decision we were not going to be forced to join NSRA on top of admission to attend. We would gladly pay a higher admission to go over a non member, but not to the point of being forced to join. I figure its their sandbox and their rules - but my choice if I want to play in it by their rules.
I agree with the extra joining fee but then if I get the magazine for a year and I get 3 day's of entertainment out of it it is worth it. Also how many 1 day parking lot car shows do you go to that may have a couple hundred cars and you pay $20 for it. I just went to Billetproof and payed $35 for 1 day. I look at it as cheap entertainment to check out other cars and meet new people.
If it was $50 or even $60 to get in we would probably go, but just the forced joining of NSRA is annoying. I don't know if its the principle of it or pride. If it was
My buddy talked me into a lifetime membership about 25 years ago, I think I've got my moneys worth for the magazine, even though they haven't had an event in the NW since Salem & I made it to Spokane only once.
One of the guys that had planned o going also bought a lifetime membership about 20-25 years ago too. We might pile into his car and just take it.
Won't be going , but just seeing the Orange Crate set up for display is worth the price of getting in....
