Great thread. Second post here at HAMB. Here's my summer daily '65. That Honey Gold '65 rolling on Supemes answers my question what one would look like done up slammed on those with pinner whites. Pretty sweet, as are the other rides in this thread.
Took this one last month at the Ford car show in Dearborn....
Dude! What's with all that fur under your nose??? You should post that one on the Mug shots thread...
Our 64 XL 500 Convertible 390 Auto - it just shows how far cars have come in the past 50 odd years, but man, I just love driving it on a nice sunny day.
Manual steering, tiny tuna cans for brakes, 10 mpg - yeah, I'll start savin' the planet another day.
Beautiful cars...some of Ford's finest!
Thanks for posting.
My '61 with MBL driving it at Billetproof Drags last year.
Looks sweet! I see the 351 ci on the fender. What engine do you have in it?
I'll trade ya my red Ford convertible for yours....
Clevland 2V with a 4 barrel.
I just got a 64 Gallaxie 500 with a 352 4 barrel carb. will be working on it soon.I'm new at this but feel much better knowing HAMB is out there for support.
Just got this. 406 3x2 4 speed 3.70 Tracloc bench seat.
You've come to the right place!!..
Now how about posting some pictures of what you have to start with...
This sure has turned into a great pic thread of full-size Fords!!
I have a couple myself. Been changing wheel/tire combos lately.
In case anybody missd it the first time, here is the link to pics I posted last month from the Galaxie meet in Dawsonville, GA.
Just picked it up from fellow HAMB'r sinticket. Can't wait for summer!!!
Here is my special order Chestnut 63 Country Sedan wagon. It's powered by a 352/3 on the tree w/OD.
Got it this summer but I have not had the time or $$$ to do much with it.
It needs lower qtrs and a rear bumper. The rear bumper look A LOT like a standard 63 Galaxie bumper and the qtrs look the same as a 4dr sedan. Can anyone out there help me confirm this?
Yep, you can just see the knock-off wheelcovers, made from leftover stock of '56 Merc wheelcovers, used on the late '63 and '64 427 Galaxies. 15-inch wheels too.
Here is my 63 1/2 Galaxie I found on the Hamb, loving it!
Here is a shot of my friend's dad's retractable. Its a 2 owner that he bought in '60 when he was a mechanic at Tri-State Ford in Evansville, IN.
My first "on the road" car was/is my '63 Ford 300...I always called it a Galaxie, so I consider myself a Galaxie owner
Being next to the salt water its whole life its now retired out back of the barn
