I think the scoop is cool, you just need to shorten the back an move the scoop back towards the windshield.

I got the hood for 200.00 at a swap meet and it fits perfectly...but the scoop is too far forward. Luckily it's put on pretty badly so it'll be no problem taking off. I need to got to the fotki website and look through a couple hundred pics to find the hood scoop I like! today though i need to start fabricating the bell crank and arms for the 4 speed!

Wasn't reccommending his ladder bars was I? Simply showing how they look. And the ones I linked didn't have muffler clamps, they were weld on.

thanks! I'd like to make my own (to get it "just right") but I'm thinking that without a jig to hold it all in place I'd have some warping from the welding. I dont want to hijack this thread, I better start a new one.

My ladders bars are made from 1" x 1/8 wall square tubing. Where the rod ends screw in it is made from 1" x 1" x 2" mild steel that I drilled and tapped 3/4 NF. The ladder bar also has a adjustable link on the back so I can adjust the pinion angle and IC with out binding the rod ends, I don"t know how well this will work, I'll find when I get the car on the track. I used a piece of 6" channel to keep the flat while I tack welded them together.

    I like that car!

especially since you were able to get the famous Dave McCauley to take the photo. Do you actually know him?
