65deluxe. I've got two other pics of that '63 AWB car. But I've not seen that one. Thank you, I need to add it to my collection. One of my pics is of that car looking like it was completely striped of all the good stuff and left to rot. Would love to know more of it's history.

And the abandoned one. Brings a tear, heh!

If you look at the hole in the hood of the abandonded car. It even looks like they may have cut the firewall, moved the engine back, and ran a blower?

Thanks again for the added pic. Mark L

My 56. Finally finished sectioning the rear inner fenderwells and modifying the back seat to fit, and lowering the rear down. Before that it was air shocks and 50psi of air to keep the fenderwell/trunk pinch well from chewing up the sidewall.

Here's another variation on the "traditional" Willys Gasser. This car, called "Ill Wind" at the time it was campaigned in the late 1960s by Earnest Marcum in Alabama, ran a Hilborn injected 426 Dodge Hemi on 10% nitro and 90% methanol. It also ran a slightly altered wheelbase for control. So, as pointed out on another thread, this car would not have been A/G under NHRA rules but it didn't run NHRA tracks as A/G. For the A/G class, it was a weekend warrior that ran IHRA, AHRA, and "run what you brung" tracks throughout the south. It was also featured in match races from time to time.

It is getting put back into the late 1960s racing configuration and will get "Ill Wind" back on the door.

    Enjoy

Haven't really seen this much so I thought I'd reply: I really like how you have the front wheel track wide enough to NOT make the car look like it could fall over!!!! :)

Oh for the love of Willys Gassers!! Hey ME Gasser, we most DEFINITELY have our hands full! But it is a labor of LOVE!

Talk about hands full,,,,imagine driving a Willys Coupe with a 426 Hilborn injected Hemi on nitro!!!!!! That's a hand full!!
