I have a question regarding picking white walls. im building a 1931 ford pick up and I have a set of 1937 spoke wheels..I have (2) 17 inch wheels and (2) 16 inch wheels and man I am having the hardest time picking a set of wide white walls. does anyone have any ideas...i looked at the croker tires website and im still lost......could I put the 17 inch wheels in the back and the 16 inch wheels in the front? any help would begreat thanks
If they are Ford wires the 17" are '33-'34 and the 16" are '35. I would run the 16's on the rear with a larger tyre, 7.50 always looks good with the 17's on the front. Or look for 2 more 16" wires, they are always around.
I just went through this with my project. I'm using 15"/16" wheels and the wide whites are 3" in the rear and 2 1/4" in the front. They look right... 205/15's up front and 235/16's out back. Hope this helps.... Jim
if i run the 17 inch in the rear with a firestone 600/650-17 and run a 600-16 in the front..does anyone have this combo....the 17 inch rim is 4.5 inches and the 16 is 5 inches will the front tire look fater then the rear?
