Has anyone ran one or all of these intakes on a small journal 327. Which did you like the best? Pros and cons?

Never ran any of them, but I'd pick the Weiand in an instant.

I’m leaning towards it as well, it looks the part for my vision and has higher risers to boot.

I will admit I’m super proud of my collection, still kicking my self for not snatching up a c3b that was for sale locally. Have you ran a old weiand like that in the past?

That’s the most important question and not based on looks.

I’m wanting to build a semi 60’s period correct 327 for my 56. The motor will be a mild street build, nothing crazy. Just fun and aesthetically pleasing.

My vision is a 56 some one built in the 60s. I’m slowly piecing together vintage parts for my 327..

    In order of usability -

Low rpm power - Weiand, dual plane.
Mid rpm power - Offenhauser on the far right (picture wise), A mostly streetable single plane.
High rpm power - Single plane "Offy" (Port-O-Sonic).

I’m leaning towards the weiand, and the port, I’m hoping the interanals will make up for the high side and use the intake to help build torque

The Weiand is very similar to the aluminum L-79 intake good low and mid range power .

The Offy on the left, the divided low rise single plane...it flat just sucks, not good for anything but holding the carb up is all.
It'll run, but it won't impress anyone. That's why nobody makes one anymore.

The Port-o-Sonic isn't a whole lot better, same thing an Edlelbrock Torker basically but a little better....all the lack of low end of a single plane with none of the top end benefits of a real race single plane.

The Weiand is the best of those three pictured as far as power is concerned.

The Weiand looks a lot like a C3B. Used one of those on a 327 years ago. It had a Crane Fireball cam and I think, a Pontiac AFB. Ran pretty darn good. It was flat at about 6200. Gene.

I run that same" why-and" in my roadster, 350 with a .450/292 cam and 600 holley and 4 spd. Runs great. IMG_20200603_215135.jpg
