Projects Where to find the right old style rubber mats

    i am restoring that old Custom called the Jack Stewart Ford.
    as some of you know, i am trying to build like when it was finnished in 51. most parts are found, but some is very hard to look up..especially from over here! so please try help me out!
    its the old rubber floor mats..Rikster found these old adds,and it seems like this could be it!

    They are hard to find over here,I wish someone would start reproducing them and I did find some mats for my 55 sunliner rolled up in a friends moms garage. garage sales and flea markets are the best place over here to look and dont know what you have.
     
  3. I see them pop up occasionally on ebay. You might try watching there.

    I am sure they could be reproduced. I love the later fifties with the diamonds in the designs... I was going to start a post, but I saw this one..
     
  7. JC Whittney still sells a lot of the old looking stuff, maybe if you look in one of their catalogs or search their online catalog.

    I am looking for the rubbermaid with the diamond pattern. I was hoping to go to Herhey and find some... I always say I just need a time machine...

    If you only drive it in decent weather you should not worry about the mats holding moisture.
