    ?
thinking of getting some stock 1937 spindles, if using a 4'' dropped axle, - hairpins/4-bar and not bones, do the steering arms need to come down some?
    thank you

or looking at internet pics of tube ? 37 axles, if say they are stock with a 2'' drop, IF the spindles were fitted to a 32 heavy axle with a similar? drop, would that work?

or, is it you simply have to cut off the stock steering arms anyway and use bolt on ones, as the
    stock arms hit the beam

any pics of a stock steering armed spindle on a axle at full lock?

aha, so you simply assume the spindle face is against the spindle stop acorn nut of the cotter - pin

I prefer to bend stock arms. Some new dropped axles (maybe the SoCal axle?) says they don't require bending though. But I think all the other dropped axles will require bending right near the kingpin boss just to clear the axle itself. And then maybe again to clear your locating system, whether wishbone or four bar.

One thing to keep in mind if you might need a height change on the tie rod is that you can taper the spindle arm boss halfway from the other side to allow the tie rod to slip in from the other side. Might be handy in some situations.
