hey dudes, was wondering if someone could tell me what that grey thing is that's hanging off the passenger window... ive seen them alot lately and havnt had the chance to ask anyone... thanks.

Just kidding, I'm personally pro-VW.

I thought they were called cactus coolers that just held ice/water as opposed to a swamp cooler that draws hot air through water soaked filters using an electric fan. I guess I could Google. But whatever.
