Couple more shots
i'm am not a ford fan, supporter, or follower AND NEVER WILL BE, but probably Ohio George's mustang. Because it was done right and probably the first "modern" gasser.
i also like the Sellkirk (sp?) Camaro, but don't know much about it?
Add my vote for Bizio's truck...saw it for the first time at Lions when it was still in primer, most wicked-looking gasser ever.
I sorta lean towards a wild Willys or Anglia......but I also have a soft spot for an early Ford or Stude
Kroona Deeb & Sandberg Indy 1971
Love the 55's and Willy's, but here is my choice
Mine was the Snuff Box 37 Chevy if i remember correct
out of Grande Prarrie Tx
Unfortunately I didnt have the privilege and luck to be born during the "Golden Age" so I have the benefit of looking from the outside in. And honestly I love them all. I wish that mindset and avability of parts and cars and your Generation were doing it now for a second time.
His name is Gas, but I don't ever remember him driving a Gasser.
I like the Anglia's for sure but the "Dirty Thirty" car is mean lookin
Always liked this one. Anyone have details?
One I should have never sold.
<<<<< My model A is my favorite followed by James Butler's "Rowdy Willys", and KS Pittman's 33 he rolled in Tx. Oh shoot, all of them that ran back then and the new ones being built now.
Theres a ghost in the picture, SPOOKY.
Mike Mitchell in the red, white & blue Willys
Lou Bratton in Blood Sweat & Tears
Damn, no kidding, better call those ghost hunter guys.
Details, yes.I built the car for a close friend. There will be a full feature in Hotrod magazine very soon.
Im in love with em all!
I like the little white one that the wife and i built. want to start a build on a full fender Model A next.
I always loved the '33 Willys of Ohio George, and the '41 SWC Swindler Willys, but little gassers are my favorites! The Austins and Anglias really get me going, and that's why I built my Austin in the old gasser style.
Now that's a straight axle!!!
Off to the left??? Yeah, I see it to... Yikes!
I like almost any one that's real. Sticking a straight axle under everything and calling it a gasser, well not so much. Truth be told, I liked Ohio George's Mustangs more than most others, as well as the few Camaros and mid-size cars that followed. Some were altereds in a gasser style of build.
My favorite Mustangs of all time were Gas Rhonda's but they were never Gasser's
Ohio George 33 Willy's
My best friend Bert took these at BIR & Indy in '69/'70. My son scaned the slides just a week or so ago. Good stuff!
Ohio George Montgomery Mustang, The Gasser that Killed the Class. Sorry!
Why?? Just because it's a Mustang???
Or is it that he won races with it without using a Chrysler HEMI???
