Folks Of Interest What's with this intake

    I found this 235 for sale. The guy says it came out of a '57 truck and runs great. What's the deal with this intake? It looks like there are a few extra hoses attached to it as well. Any ideas on what this thing has going on? Screenshot_2017-07-06-00-23-30.png

    That's Step Van or C O E updraft manifolding. Don't know if the LCF used them. Those exhaust manifolds make a unique split manifold.

    Ah I see, thanks for the reply. He said it has a newly rebuilt carb. What type of carb does it use?

    Is there any market for these intakes and carbs or should I see if I can leave them behind?

    302GMC is right. In addition to having an updraft carburetor, the trucks often had a speed governor incorporated into the induction set up.
