What's going on in NW Washington?

My wife and I will be in the Whidbey Is area 27 Jul to 1 Aug, and Kent area 1 to 6 Aug. Would like to meet up with some HAMBers while there.

the goodguys is July 27th weekend inlcuding nostalgic drags Friday night, some of the best traditional hotrods in the NW (west coast) show up.
so swap the location dates.. do the island after.

if you are willing to drive, the Vintque Nationals are 2-5 in yakima (over the mountains)

 

I say ditch the island and goodguys, buy a case of Rainier, and go to Kitsap County: "COME ON VACATION, LEAVE ON PROBATION".

 

NHRA drag races are at Pacific Raceway in kent, first weekend of August. You're already there that weekend. They have parking for Hot Rods. Mike

 

About 150 miles east is the Vintiques Rod Run.

The LeMay car museum just opened in Tacoma, I haven't been yet but I hear its pretty good.

 

the xxx burger in issaquah always has shows and is a pretty cool place to eat. little bit of a drive from whidbey island tho

If you make it to Cornet Bay on the north end of Whidbey Island Capt John at the Marine Salvage/Vessel Assist is a Hamber.
The Island has one of the last drive in movie theaters around too.

 

Went to the LeMay Museum about 2 weeks ago, Its worth checking out. Quite an improvement over the old place. The row of early Indy cars is awesome.
