  1. Jeff, look at this, Rockauto, I used my 1977 Ford E-250 with a 351w as an application. 240C8882-4D2A-478F-8029-A6468EBFE6EE.png

I'd look through my shelves of cams, but I know the only new small-block ones are a 291/541 DeLong solid, and a NOS LeMans- I always wanted to try the LeMans in a 351, should help the street manners a bit. The idle sound is incredible, but manners in street range, no. It sounds almost as nasty as the old 330/600 427 cam

I have a stock replacement cam for a 87 351 on the way and was the only one their warehouse had in stock, now to find a better intake and possibly another set of heads depending on what is on it now.

GT-40 iron heads.. 65cc chambers, 1.84" intake valves and 1.54" exhausts... The headbolt holes are already drilled for 1/2" bolts..

No matter what cam you choose, degree it’s so you know where it is. Manufacturers are known to grind in 2-3 degrees. The last stocker style engine I did with my son was what was called a 268 RV and after decreeing it we re-drilled the cam gear and put in a 6* button. Ran great. I once installed a 4 degree button in a 350” Monte Carlo that needed a timing chain at 90K miles without doing a complete degree check. Everything was stock and it really woke it up. Drove the car to 150K miles.

Cam has arrived so it will come apart next week and see what was done.
