    The 1953 and 56 Catalogs looks to be the same as the mystery axle. Now what is the axle under this 29?? The builder told me it was an early Bell made from a V8 60 tube. Observe that the ends are not flattened. Anyone know about this one?

    That looks like a dropped v8-60 axle to me, if there was a detail pic of the kingpin ends i could say for sure or not.

    That was at fathers day yes?
    I saw and talked to him same day and spot.
    If it is a 60 they pulled off some kinda magic to make the ends longer.
    Iv seen one other like that.

    why a wall hanger? they drive fine using unsplit radius rod.

    Yes this are a nice axle on a HotRod,i have search one in over three years and find one this year ,a chromed one from Ca .Thats Great.Thanks Hamb ,here are nice helpful people. Bell Auto Parts whas a HotRodders Candy Shop .Thanks

    Usually castings will have a thin mold parting line, much like the way molded plastic parts today do.
