what size socket for pinion nut

    all my large sockets are at work and its a hassle to take them home and i need to change a pinion seal in a 71 olds cutlass. anyone know what size socket i will need so i dont have to bring home a bunch of different sockets.

    the car is still together and i need to know what socket before i take it apart as i will be driving it to where i will be working on it.
     
  4. if you bring a 1"1/16"-1"1/4" you "should" have it covered.
     

  5. My 10 bolt Chevy is 1 1/8. Just changed the seal.
