Id like to get an Idea of what I can expect to pay someone to do my interior in the traditional Tuck-n-Roll or Rolled and Pleated interior on my 52 chevy 2dr sedan ....... complete! Carpet, Headliner, visors, packagetray, 4 armrests, kick panels, door panels, rear panels, front and rear seats .......... In a pearl white with maybe some colored piping ..... looking for a Ballpark figure (so I know how much to save) and or some recomended names of some good and Affordable trim guys..... thanks
I our neighborhood, you can expect to pay from 2 grand upwards of ten grand, depending on the level of quality and type of material. In ,my 62, I paid 2g's for tuck and roll in a vinyl which looks like and feels like leather. A friend paid 4500 for a simple, smooth leather interior. Fatlucky does interiors and should be able to get you close, depending on where you are and the market there.
good-fast-cheap.....pick two, you don't get all three. i would recommend shawn cook, he's always done what he says. pm me for his phone number.
First killer paint now full interior job pretty soon it will be on one of those mirrored roundy round things at the Dallas autorama!! Mark you need to check out Fatlucky his stuff is killer and he says he gives a discount to Hambers.
I got an estimate here of $3500 for a simple vinyl tuck n roll job .... the guy does good work ... but mostly original style interiors....... Id kinda like someone whos familiar with the Kustom look ...... anyone ever use one of those kustom Interior "kits" like the ones from EZ Boy?.............
fatlucky's man... check out his work www.fatluckys.com he did my 60 olds door panels and they turned out SWEET.
i would say fatlucky too, but if you guys can't get it together there is a guy here in fort worth that has done a few ive seen and they are pretty good.sean's {sorry if i spelled it wrong}style is great but if he is busy or what ever then you might get a hold of this guy i can get you his number if you want p.m. me if you need it. later kenny
Don't forget the guy that did BoobBoom's old shoebox. I know of a guy in Arlington that is reasonable, I'll try and get his # for you. What about Gotcha, doesn't he do interior work?
[ QUOTE ] just spent 4000 from realy good local guy on my 57 [/ QUOTE ] Apparently I can't afford to play with cars anymore. I guess it's a good thing I like motorcycles too. LOL

[ QUOTE ] Don't forget the guy that did BoobBoom's old shoebox. [/ QUOTE ] That place is on the northside of Fort Worth. Northside Upholstery Shop 2105 Adams&Jacksboro Hwy. 817-625-6751 Boom Boom's looked pretty good and I saw the one Charlie Duran had at the springrally last year also. I could'nt believe how cheap that place was. I think he got a bench seat, 2 door panels and headliner done in black and white pleats for $800. It looked pretty good but you definately can tell a difference between that and something that Fatlucky does. Sean does the smoothest and tightests looking interior jobs that I have ever seen. Check out Bass's seat on his bike.Stuff is Awsome.
Fatlucky...Fatlucky....Fatlucky..... and if YOU are lucky, he will let Colette slide across them seats to make them sweeter.. Sean, PLEASE tell me you let her sit on my bike seat before I got it from you? I had a nightmare not too long ago that YOU sat on it, and well......I won't go into it.....
You will definatley pay top dollar at Fatluckys. He does good work but you will pay for it. I called about getting my coupe seat done and it was gonna be 450.00. You can go to little Mexico in South Dallas and get it done for 150.00 with leather. And believe me they know what there doing. I would go to your downtown and go to some tire shops preferably Mexican owned and they can point you in the right direction were to go. Good luck.
Fatlucky's. No question about it. That car is cool enough to deserve an interior of that quality too. BenD
I did my own interior, tuck n' roll vinyl. less than a hundred bucks in materials for two buckets and a rear seat. I just learned as I went and it turned out really good. I'll post pics later.
Hey, MarkX, maybe we should both take our Chevys down to Fatlucky's and see if he'll give us a 2-for-the-price-of-1 deal!
