I've got a 1951 Chevy 1/2 ton front axle I'm wanting to put disc brakes on, but I want a 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern so I can use some wheels I already have. I know Speedway sells a kit to put disc brakes on for the 5 on 4.75" pattern, but I can't find the kit for 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern.

Also I want to use tie rods not heim joints, so the kit needs to allow for steering arms that work with tie rods. Any ideas?

I don't believe that one is going to work as it is for the early Fords.
Grenada style rotors might work if you can figure out the wheel bearing thing.
There may be a mopar rotor like off a late 70's Cordoba that will work too.

Most aftermarket disc brake conversions that offer a 4 3/4 bolt pattern or a 4 1/2" bolt pattern use rotors from a 75-86 Plymouth Volare, /Dodge Aspen. You may have to play bearing swap to get them to fit the spindle, but they are the same basic size as the GM rotor commonly used. Gene

Not a fan of modifying disposable wear items.

AS has been mentioned, Volare rotors can go where Camaro rotors were, with a bearing change.

Don't make the mistake I did.
Rebuilt the original front end. Was not happy. Those trucks were never built for today's highways. It was all over the road.
I installed a must2 and could not believe the difference. Just like a sports car.

They can be made to ride a lot nicer, but once you get done throwing money at it, you will have eclipsed the price of the new suspension, and will only be half-way there.
