what is the chassis from?

    i am going to do some work on a project for a fellow and this is the chassis i am to use... what is it early dodge perhaps? im gonna make a fenderless hot rod truck i think out of it with a tube axle on the springs on it now on the front. kind of up in the air gasser style ford cab yada yada. but I would like to know what the thing is.?????????? I know within mere minutes i'll know and thanks in advance...

    the owner said it had he thought like a wide five wheel and wood somwhere on the wheel or hub. im thinkin early dodge 28 or so and the spidle is a strange deal see picture

    Early Chevy standard frame the deluxe's had knee action front ends.

    107 wheel base? looks like a 34-35 chevy standard coupe.

    5 lug wouldn't be Chevy.

    There was another thread yesterday on 34 Chev wires.. the odd pattern on the Standard Series was 4.25 bolt circle with 5 lugs. Same year but the Master Series was 6 lugs.

    i thjought gm /chevy too but has wooden wheels or centers wood...dodge is only one that comes to mind but not sure about the front spindles ?

    Looks like 28-29 Dodge. It should have serial # stamped on side of frame
    pass. side, behind front wheel. 28 was also frist year for DeSoto..
    Does the front axle have brake drums? If you find the serial #. P.M. it to me, i will try to figure what it is

    Also, what is the wheelbase,i see the rear end has been changed.
    Standard Dodge was 116''

    If you knew how fast Sam can put together a car, you would realize that after 2 years and 9 months that this frame is already driving around under its own power.

  15. Could be a 1929 or 1930 Dodge Brothers frame. It is definitely NOT a 1931 Dodge frame. I have two of them and they are like this....

    the 29 and 30 dodge frames are not bowed outward at the back. this frame is bowed outward
