A bit OT, but figured someone on here would know... What do you call the "hard cardboard" that was/is used for tool or instrument boxes ? Typically had reinforced corners, like this....
Could it be Masonite? There were 2 kinds, regular and tempered. Regular was lighter colored and not waterproof, used for the back of radios and TVs, and other indoor articles. Tempered is the dark colored stuff used for siding, making trailers, signs etc because it is weather proof. Or maybe it's just thick cardboard.
Boxboard/Paperboard like cereal box material but heavier and like Metal no doubt has gauges...that is my assumption.
Pretty much the same composition as the upholstery backing cardboard material that upholstery shops use but not as thick.
Chipboard. I think it comes in different weights. Sent from my SM-G950W using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Not meaning this in a political way; but I'd call it American made. Quality with strength like most stuff used to be in the past. Sent from my Nexus 5X using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
