Have painted inner door and window sorroundings and made an new hat shelf with tuck n roll and speakers even painted the dash board all of it was purple before. Also mounted the rest of the interior back but i have to make an new left inner door panel it is not in a good shape... Will go to town someday and try to find some matching tuck n roll. Brake problem is solved an inner leak in the vaccum brake booster and a new is ordered from usa so it would be here in about 1.5 weeks but the car drives and shifts nice and all seem to work well!!

Also have another problem, the white paint on the body outside dont seem to harden..... Will ask the guy tomorrow if he mixed it wrong i think it feels like an "base" paint that needs clear on it insted of a solid if so i will be mad

That piece of shit paint dont harden becuse it was not hardener mixed in the color... I use to paint alot with solid in different colors and everytime they mix hardener and paint so its just to shoot but this time another guy gave me the paint and did not say anything about hardener so i assume it was as usuall.... The white is sanded down again and the roof getting water sanded for more clear and gloss im so not motivated for this now!!! pics to come when finished again and will paint in the shop now for some better result with the clear now.

Finished the everlasting paintjob this weekend did wet sand all the car and put clear on it went pretty well and the roof really shines up now when sanded and cleared again even the white looks more deep i think will take pics outside when the brakes are done hopefully my new brake booster will come this week and i have to make new brake hoses in front! Started to clean up the engine aswell previus owner did not cover the engine when sanding so it was a mess not finished but better.

    Fast movements again,looks nice!
That reminded me when my bro popped by with his shovelhead and he did a quick paintjob too.
I said him that so you did the paintjob that you planned?
    Answer was:
"Dont fucking touch it,its still wet!":D

Haha like the shovelhead story yes i got a little uninspiered by the paint that did not harden properly but now when thats in the past i feel joy again! Have inside of doors left to paint and then fully reassemble the interior and make some new inner door panels and floor carpet and and.... haha atleast the car is driveable now thats was the thing and thats achived!

  15. here is a trick that I use for painting engines still in the car spay the paint in the cap of the can then use a small paint brush to paint the motor this way you can control exactly where the paint is applied. Hobo Jim

Do you have any pics of the gas pedal and the cable?
I like to see how the cable is routed,if there is not too much trouble.

Thanks for the pics,i appreciate it!
I thought the cable was routed outside of the firewall, but that will work too.
That pedal isnt so fugly that you said, thats a real beauty when compared those ones i've seen for sale.

Glad to help the cable is routed inside and covers by the original? Firewall isolation, the comes out in a original hole in the firewall just back of the carb. No it does not look to "billet" and thats nice! I belive this car is built in the 60-70s in us so its maybe from there somewhere... Dont see any stamps of mark on it.

Today my new vaccum brake booster arived! Changed it this night and the front brake hoses, they where to long so they have scratched against the spindels and where damaged, also did new mounting brakets on the frame that the hoses properly attach to. Now there are better brakes than most modern cars!! Really impressed now when they work like they should and the brakebooster dont leak vaccum! Glad they are safe! My new hubcaps did also arived did buy some starburst custom hubcaps i think they look fine being newley made but they are made by thaiwan ted so the chrome is terrible thin but think it will look nice, going to clean the tyres and paint the outer lip on the rim gold. Also did take a longer drive this night and the car is awesome must say i love the combo of 327/powerglide in a shoebox even if it hurts its not made by Ford this thing is so driveable and fast!! Oh if anyone want to know the brake hoses i ordered where std camaro 68-72 little shorter than the hoses that where mounted and i assume they were std that comes with the disc brake kits for the shoeboxes but std camaros fits better for me anyway.
