The Mountain Moonshine Festival in the Moonshine Capital of the World, Dawsonville, Ga. Usually over 700 show cars plus almost 200 pre 1940 Ford moonshine style cars. Plus lots of vintage race cars and their drivers!!! 4th weekend in October

No love for Midnight Mass? More of an event than show, but I had an awesome time.

Was let down by WCK Santa Maria....felt trapped in the fairgrounds. Some real nice cars and historic customs, but felt like a business event and not put on for love of the hobby.

Will either go to Viva Las Vegas or Lonestar Roundup next year, Texas might be a little too far.

  11. Must have my priorities screwed up or something
    1st my wedding day
    2nd birth of my daughter
    3rd her wedding day
4th birth of 1st grand daughter
5th birth of 2nd grand daughter

Oh wait were talking car stuff

Bonneville Speed Week, made it there for the 50th anniversary, need to go back. Every car guy, no matter what niche of the hobby he finds himself in, should experience it at least once. There is something magical about that place. I believe a large part of it is that racers are focused on beating either their own personal best or the record book. Rather then each other. Which finds guys helping out fellow racers even in their own class. Only race venue I've ever seen where that is the norm.

If you haven't made a trip to the salt its time to put it on your "bucket list".
