its that time my first swap in the merc i originaly was running a flathead but came across a 327 and a 400 trans for 300$ from my father inlaw and could not pass it up.the question i have is what is needed to do the swap ?and where can i get it ?im on a budget so let me know where to go and what to buy .Also has anyone done this swap how difficult thanks in advance.
Have you done a search yet? Go to Chassis Engineering on the web and study. Most all the mounts can be had from them. #27 and 400 is a good combination, very popular, and has been done a lot. Look on the web for engine swaps and start your research. Should be a lot like a bowtie in a shoebox.
