A 69 Torino that my mother bought brand new. I helped my dad restore it in the 90's it for it to become my first car. It's still registered in her name, but I keep it in my garage.

July 20 1964, Black 1949 Ford Deluxe, flattie V8. Learned how to drive 14 years later in my brother's 64 GTO 3 1/4 horse 396 (yes 396) M-21, 4:10 posi 10 bolt. I still have the Goat, 396 is long gone, it now has a Poncho 400 now with same M-21 and rear end. It's made a few passes down the 1/4 @ MoKan 20 or so years ago!

Four yr old blue '36 cabriolet. In '48 my Dad traded it for a 42 Dodge 4 door. 50 yr's later I was still ragging him about doing that. I know that car is what made me an early Ford guy.

An Austin A40 with dually carb setup by my dad (he ran a machine shop from the 30's into the 50's)

On the way to the hospital dad was stopped for speeding by a motorcycle cop and was told to follow the guy to the hospital. He was pretty mad when the Austin passed him when mom said she couldn't wait any longer. He let dad off with a stern lecture and a warning but at least he didn't hand him any tickets.

    :)

In Dad's '54 Oldsmobile 88 two door hardtop with skirts. Black over white. Coolest car he ever had. After that, the primary cars were all 4 doors for the family until his '78 Holiday Coupe. I came home on his 36th birthday.

1940 Ford Coupe, with smittys. (great story about those mufflers . . .)
It wasn't until my Dad bought the '50 Starlight Coupe (yep, a bullet nose) that we had a new car.
    Guess that was a while ago . . .

I don't know what my parents drove me home in and I can't ask them (a 20's or 30's something I'm sure??).
However I brought all three of my kids home in a 1968 Plymouth Satellite, Michael in 1969 and the twins in 1971. Shortly after the girls were born we bought a new 1972 Ford E100 van, made it easy to haul around kids and still be COOL!

A tan with wood paneling 1979 Caprice station wagon, which my dad was forced to trade his 4 speed '78 Corvette in on a year earlier. 4 kids just weren't going to fit in the Corvette.
