Event Coverage What did you buy/save in 2019?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Chris, Dec 12, 2019.

  1. ok this is becoming a joke because I have this old truck ADD and I keep dragging this shit home. At the end of the year I look back and think “what the fuck happened?”. It’s obvious I love 57-60 ford pickups and vintage 4x4’s in general. Lots of these were parts rigs but regardless, they were had.

So, what all did you guys beat the bushes and save this year?

Fantastic haul, Chris- did any of them move onto other homes, or are you still up to your eyeballs in trucks?

Only one this year, a Hudson. It was fun. But now it has a new owner.

  7. Didn’t buy a damn thing, found a 64 Chrysler convertible I’m working on for the spring though. Just need to sell an off topic car and wait for it to dry up.

Finally got a 1911 Hupmobile, a car I've wanted for 50 years. This one has been apart since 1972, the red one is just like mine. Merry Christmas! Bob IMG_0824 (1).jpg 455900_81ad2b7a590b_low_res.jpg 455920_e7e559927376_low_res.jpg

  19. Nothing hamb related saved this year, started tearing into my O/T 68 C10 pickup. My 33 Ford pickup is the next vehicle on the project list though once the C10 is completed. Then its full bore turning that 33 into a early 60s show rod to match the era of Taboo.

  20. You need to take a road trip to Arkansas and buy my Spartan. Use it for parts? It would be a adventure!

I got this 53 Pontiac Wagon this year.. I also picked up a 54 Pontiac wagon parts car.

I actually bought the rusty parts car first, then stumbled across the 53 wagon online a few weeks later.

Had a slow year. Only got 4. It was more of a "parts" year Screenshot_20191118-175937_Chrome.jpg 20191011_121200.jpg 20190913_175346.jpg 20190907_190200.jpg

I had a slow year for vehicle purchases. Trying to focus on accumulating parts for and working on existing projects instead.
Bought the 35 chevy truck, stripped it for parts for my 36 and sold the remains. Also bought and flipped two Ot vehicles to help fund projects, and sold my 56 chevy. Just recently picked up a rough 26 T body that I didnt want or need, so it will most likely become yard art. 20190701_100835.jpeg 20191108_161824.jpeg

  28. I didn’t buy much this year at all. I started the year by buying a 63 Chevy pu for my oldest son that we are trying to finish before June of 2020 so he can drive it daily. Other than that, all I bought was a 60 parts truck to go along with that 63. Oh, I guess I also bought a 63 Corvair convertible. Trying to forget that impulse buy that I regretted...
