What car did these mirrors come off?

I bought them for a project just thought I would see if anyone recognized them before my time. Thanks

 

Those are fucking great!! Probably aftermarket I would guess. If you don't use them and want to sell give me a hollar...they'd be great on the right early 60's custom!!!

 

I would also guess aftermarket items.

You would find them on your grand dad's car or your dad's.
First thing the younger guys removed.

 

Yep, Western Auto, Coast to Coast, Pep Boys, JC Whitney or other outfits that had chrome trinkets for sale had them. If you could find a copy of a pre 1965 JC Whitney catalog you could find a lot of similar ones. Popular with the guys who thought bolting chrome doodads on their cars or trucks was customizing.

 

Come on. It says what there for right on the board. For checking out the earth as you pass the moon into lunar orbit. Sheeesh! Some people don't have a clue.
