Hot Rods what bias bly tire for an 8 inch wide wheel?

I want to run a set of 15x8 Halibrands I have on my roadster but Im not sure what to do for tires. I was just gonna run a set of Hurst slicks but does anybody have pics of bias ply tires on an 8 inch wide wheel. Ive seen it before but cant find any pics now.Thanks

 

8.00 or 9.00x15 would be a good fit.

 

Firestone makes a 890-15 WW Piecrust. Pricey - $250.00

 

Depending on era your shooting for.. Could use L78's or 8.20's.. 8" rims are kind of wide....

 

i got L78s on my 56 louie. 8 inch chrome steelies

 

I went with a set of firestone 8.90-15's on 15x8 wheels. Since these mockup shots, I had the offset changed to get the tire closer to the body.

 

I know this thread is OLD, but MAN THAT LOOKS GOOD!!!!!

 

Man...what a blast from the past...here's how the car is today....still running the 8.90's on the back.

 

Looks better with the black rims^^^...
