That's SWEET!. I see you have 791 heads on there. Have you had any issues associated with them?. Is it stock or......what cam are you running??? and where do you have the coil mounted. Would love some details.

Cal Custom or whoever owns them is repoping the old finned covers again. they are not real expensive and you can't tell them from the original until you remove them and see where they are cast.
Offenhauser is also repoping all their old stuff. DMarv here on the board is a dealer (Exiter Auto) and there stuff looks like the old stuff only new.

Both are excellent choices for a '60s style build.

and the smallblock Cal Customs I like. I hope they are tall enough for a stud girdle, I think they are.

for sbc I've always liked the looks of the vintage chevy/corvette finned valve covers or the cal-custom ribbed.

These would really come in handy when your Duck hunting in the marsh with your hood open working on your 600hp small block:rolleyes:

Oh, there will probably be a line of bubbas just waiting to throw those things onto their trucks and rock crawlers.
What I'd like to know is, does this mean that pretty much any image can be printed onto pretty much any valve cover?? The mind boggles.

Somewhere in the attic of my garage is a pair of sandcast, finned noname stagger bolt valve covers for 265-283s. They've got raised boltholes like the early Corvette covers, and "CHEVY 55 56 57 58" cast in the underside. No idea who made them.

  14. here's those Aussie valve covers.

I think these are cool. It took me about 4 hours to paint them. I had them on ebay and couldn`t get a $100 open bid. I guess people didn`t appreciate them like I do.

Dave the camo is actually a powder coat. Were road testing them on a employee's 76 chevy pickup and he's been running around for a couple months and there holding up nicely. We realize the hot rodders are not after these but the off roaders and jeep guys love em. We had them at a swap meet and belive me they attracted the attention. The pictures dont do them justice the powder coat image is amazing when you seem them up close and when you open the hood the first comment people have is wtf, then they ask if we have a matching air cleaner lol, latr

i've seen some that resemble early buick (nailhead i think) making you think that the engine is actually another make ....cool??? im on the fence on that..neat..different..sneaky...trick...you see them sometimes on the reall "nice" ratrods...i.e. a rat rod thats a streetrod in disguise or vice-versa..

Every day on this site reminds me of how NOT creative I am! I'd have never thought of painting them up like that and they look good!
