Thanks ESGEE I am struggling to get back on it. Space is a problem for me as I have to put it away after working on it to have space for my customer work. I am hoping to get more space one of these days.

  3. I just read this all again & will agree that this is quite impressive. You have aslo reafirmed my thought about making a T inner door structure. I'm going to get a door & give it a try

If the doors will fit a stock door opening, how about you make an extra pair of inners and outers, complete doors for me while you are at it ?? :D

  6. Have you done the door skin flange on the door frame half yet?

  7. Hey blue one that is my eventual plan

Today I ordered most of the rest of the parts I need for the body from Macs. Door hinges and latches, boot hinges and latch and the screen posts. Thanks to my wife as these are a birthday present.

No problem, I hope it helps. I have almost finished making the door skins and my parts arrived from Macs today so I can finish the doors now. I will post some photos soon.

Been spending a bit of time with these two and my wife...

because the oldest is back from university for a week or so and because it was my birthday.

I got the parts from Mac's yesterday took only ten days to get to me here in the UK. Import duty was over seventy pounds about a hundred US dollars. Makes parts expensive with shipping on top of that. I am very pleased with the quality of what I got even though most of it was made in Taiwan.

  15. Try Steve Lang for stuff like that - he's always bring parcels over so can save on carriage.

Cheers Jack, I hope that is the last parts I need from the US. Trouble with getting stuff through other people is I still have to get it here so more postage. The import duty can't be avoided.

Here is what I have made so far for my door skins, the one on the left has the top formed. I now have to make some tooling to form the bead in the top of the skin.

Take a look at your new hinges, I was just installing my new hinges from Mac's yesterday and they are stamped with the Wescott logo.

Possibly made in the US ? One can hope :)
