I saw a lot of Harry's cars, well pictures of his cars, but never saw this Caddy. The best compliment I can give is wow. That car originally built in 1948 with Harry's ideas from 1948, would stand up to any custom these days. Just remember that Harry was the original. There are a lot of customs that are styled simular, but he was the original. Just ask legends like Frank De Rosa. Harry was an original.

The cloumn is a reworked 41 that has been shortened a little and all of it chromed, and a custom stainless cover/tube that covers the shift arm that runs down to the floor with the column. The wheel is a rare and restored(recast plastic to match interior) 41 Pontiac, the bottom neck of the wheel and the column didn't quite jive so I made a stainless cover that goes over the diameter of the column and is cut out for the steering wheels to fit down in, other wise you could see doun into the gut of the column, I used something real high tech an fancy for the stainless...I used a nice stainless kitchen cooking pan....should have seen the looks I got while I was in Target with part of the column measuring and holdng it up to all the pans...some people just don't understand us car guys..right??

  3. kurt found the 41 cad years ago in the san fransico bay area. he tried to buy it for years but the old man wouldn't sell. he discovered that the old man was a big joe wilhelm fan. so, kurt bought this car from wilhelms widow and traded it for the cad. (i got the photo from riksters site)

hey rod whats up?i just saw the pics of the cad.all i can say is koooool!i met kurt and amy a while back.i used to belong to the kustom knights of nj.i used to see them at the spectacular in michigan and the one year they brought the dream truck to lead east, which is my stomping grounds.im also glad to see the 41 buick is getting coverage as well.i remember when Barry Mazza restored it.as a matter of fact i have a pic of the club coming back from wheels of time in macungie pa.we stopped for a rest and the 41 is behind my 51 chevy ht.which is done 50's style.as we got back on the road,it was barry and i going along the highway and we both got on the same highway exit ramp i was going south and barry was going north.i wish someone was in front of to take a video.that was a cool day.again i have to say you did a fantastic job bringing this ole sled back to life.talk to you soon, joe

Sweet-Jesus, could anything be cooler? Subtle rules! Things like the chrome dash, brake handle, piping on carpet, headliner bows, fab. real spotlights with awesome knobs, aircleaners, early cad fins, I could go on & on. Thanks for sharing pics w/ your sis's and bro's of the H.A.M.B. Knocked Out! Sololobo

    Hey Tim,
The Cad still looks incredible! I didn't realize it wasn't finished last year when I saw it. Anyway I'm not in Wyoming anymore. Good luck in the future. Email me some time, [email protected]

I agree...SHUT THE HOOD!!!! I don't care if you have a diamond studded engine, customs should NEVER have the hood popped.
