West Coast to Bonneville during Speed Week in August???

I live in Hawaii....

I've always wanted to go to Bonneville during the speed week in August. What I would love to do is ship my '55 Chevy gasser to San Francisco or LA, and drive it across to Bonneville for speed week!

Could even ship into one port and ship back to Hawaii from the other....

How possible is it to connect with others who might be going to Speed week and travel with them?

I have no idea how to go about this....

Hey Willy I don't know much about doing this ,but I was thinking of going to Bonneville this year .I got gas money .

It is an awesome trip. We drove from Auburn CA to Bonneville back in 2008 in the Roadster PU, and then back to Pleasanton. Huge amount of fun.

Normally a group of Kiwis go each year, either from SF or LA. I'm sure you will pick up some supporters here without too much trouble.
